resina is a platform for research based in Ferrara. Resina's work is invested in developing slow-paced alternative education experiments and residencies, with a particular focus on themes related to ecology and  the need to rethink the relationship between people, ecosystems, and the stories of the surrounding territories. Through the organisation and programming of slow-paced artistic and research residencies, as well as non-formal educational projects, resina supports emerging practitioners working across various forms of art, research and writing.  Since 2023, resina is part of Wunderkammer Consortium: a center for research, education and cultural, social and environmental production on the Ferrara river docks.

Online
2020

Resina’s internal research and development project focusing on informal learning practices taking place online over the course of 2020. Organised by Olivia Berkowicz, Angelica Bollettinari, Sara Ortolani, Margherita d’Aloja, Lucie Kordacova, Margherita Elliott.

Drawing upon the experiences and knowledges produced during Ferrara Residency, the project aimed to investigate feminist historical and contemporary trajectories in education, pedagogies and activism through a reading group and feedback & support sessions.

As we were apart during the first months of the Covid-19 pandemic, we felt the urgency of finding in resina a support group and connect each other in a moment where distance was particularly tangible. Meeting online to discuss texts by Lola Olufemi, Anna L. Tsing, bell hooks, Lynne Segal, Silvia Federici, Ursula K. le Guin among others became a tool to feel closer, learn together and educate ourselves.

Reading List:

- Hamja Ahsan, Shy Radicals
- Ursula Le Guin, The Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction.
- Anna Lowenhaupt Tsing, The Mushroom at the End of the World
- Silvia Federici, Re-enchanting the World: Feminism and the Politics of the Commons
