ILE: Informal Learning Environments
resina alternative education programme
2019-2020
online, ongoing
In 2020, resina is organising an internal research and development residency focusing on informal learning practices.
Drawing upon the experiences and knowledges produced during Ferrara Residency in 2017 and 2018, the project aims to investigate feminist historical and contemporary trajectories in education, pedagogies and activism. How can we collectively formulate a feminist learning platform, where we may support and create alliances between ourselves and other sibling organisations? We aim to create methods and tools to share a common vocabulary of alternative learning practices by working with workshop formats, written word, movement, dialogue, graphic visualisations and curatorial methodologies.
Originally, resina had decided to explore the theme of End / Fine as the first chapter of our research & development phase. Due to the covid-19 pandemic we moved all of our activities into an online space where our new collaborative venture started from discussing ends, The End…, Fine and, perhaps/inevitably, new beginnings.
Our online meetings take the form of reading groups, feedback & support sessions, makeup tutorials and movement workshops.
